Grand Seiko First GS Cal.3180
Introduction:
The first model of Grand Seiko was introduced in 1960. It represented Seiko's commitment in making a timepiece that would be superior in precision, durability and simplicity. The first GS was originated from the Seiko Crown produced in the 1950's. With the introduction of the new movement Cal.3180, the first GS was accurate to within +12 to -3 seconds per day. The movement also has a hacking function which allows the user to adjust the time accurately. In modern days, Seiko continues to recreate the first GS with cutting-edge polishing techniques and updated movements, while retaining its simple yet elegant design and the philosophy of Japanese beauty.
