King Seiko First KS Model Steel
Introduction:
King Seiko was born in 1961, a year after the first Grand Seiko was launched in 1960. Both were considered as the top grade Seiko watches at that time. While Grand Seiko was produced by the Suwa factory, King Seiko was produced by the Daini factory instead. This model "J14102E" was the first King Seiko model. Finding one in gold filled case is relatively easy, but stainless steel version is generally more difficult to source nowadays. The case back has the iconic "King Seiko" shield medal, which was limited to King Seiko watches produced before late 1966.
