Grand Seiko 56GS 5641-7000
Introduction:
56GS was the last generation of vintage Grand Seiko. Right after Seiko issued the 61GS, there was a need to build the ultimate daily watch that could be used for decades, so there were some majors changes. For example, the movement was redesigned to be thin and compact, making 56GS the slimmest automatic Grand Seiko at that time. This watch here was directly ordered from Seiko by Toshiba, a Japanese company now expanding worldwide, and distributed internally to its employees. According to the engraved case back, it was presented to a worker in 1972 to celebrate 25 years work anniversary.
