Grand Seiko 61GS 36000 Hi-Beat VFA Style
6146-8050 was only produced for 2 months between Apr and May 1972, making it one of the rarest GS in all vintage models. Finding one in good condition is nearly impossible as many examples have damaged or even missing gold medals on the case back. Interestingly, it shares many similarities with the famous 61GS VFA. For example, both feature a faceted sapphire crystal and have a case of HSS (Hardened Stainless Steel). Even the raised indexes on the dial are designed in the same way. Realizing it being literally a non-branded 61GS VFA might be the exact reason why Seiko decided to discontinue its productions in the blink of an eye.
