Seiko 2nd Diver 6105-8110 Proof/Proof Version
Introduction:
Seiko 6105-8110 is the 2nd generation of Seiko diver watches. It is also probably the most historically significant Seiko diver watch. Thanks to its affordability and robustness, Seiko 6105 was popular among the U.S. soldiers in Vietnam War. It was famously featured as Captain Willard's wristwatch in the war movie "Apocalypse Now" directed by Francis Coppola. This watch here is an extremely rare version in which both the dial and the case back have the "Proof" markings instead of the commonly seen "Resist". The case is a bit thinner than "Resist" version, too. Thus it is called "Proof/Proof" and it could only be found in very few early examples of Seiko 6105.
