Seiko Superior 3883-7000 Morpho Dial
Introduction:
Firstly introduced in "Seiko Watch Catalog 1974 Vol. 2", Seiko Superior 3883-7000 was one of the highest priced watches in the catalog, excluding those made of precious metals. Quartz movement was a new technology to the world, and quartz watches were far more demanded than traditional mechanical watches. While quartz watches normally have an accuracy of +/-15 to +/-30 seconds per month, Seiko Superior was specially adjusted to +/-2 seconds per month. The crystal is a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. In addition, the case was finished with Zaratsu polishing and HSS (Hardened Stainless Steel). The most attractive part of this watch is the dial named "Morpho", a butterfly with shiny blue wings. This watch is extremely rare and almost unseen in the second hand market.
