Introduction:
Introduced in 1968, 45KS shared the Hi-Beat manual movement with 45GS and was among the most accurate watches Seiko produced in late 1960s. Like 44GS, the case was inspired by Taro Tanaka’s philosophy of “Grammar of Design”, but 45KS has a more traditional profile generally. This 45KS has a rare model number of 4502-7001, instead of 4502-7000 which is more commonly seen. It indicates that the movement was in fact chronometer certified and adjusted for superior accuracy. It is proved by the 6-digit chronometer testing number engraved on the movement.
