Seiko Lord Marvel 5740-8000 36000 Hi-Beat

Introduction:

Since 1958, Lord Marvel had always been the pioneer of Seiko’s watch making technologies. The first Lord Marvel was the predecessor of the first Grand Seiko Cal. 3180, and Lord Marvel 5740-8000 was the first ever 36000 Hi-Beat Seiko watch. Due to its popularity and relatively affordable pricing, Seiko continued to produce Lord Marvel 5740-8000 for almost 10 years. According to the engraved case back, it was gifted to a worker at Nittetsu Mining CO., Ltd. on 20th May 1968 to celebrate 30 years work anniversary. Nittetsu Mining CO., Ltd. was established in 1899 and it is one of the leading mining and engineering companies in Japan nowadays.
